Southern Wake Outreach Center/Pass It On
In 2005, Interact opened the Southern Wake Outreach Center at 309 South Main St. in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina as its first counseling center outside Raleigh. Located in the heart of downtown Fuquay-Varina, the center is easily accessible to residents in southern Wake County.

A full-time domestic violence and sexual assault counselor provides free and confidential services at the center. The staff and volunteers provide community outreach presentations in local faith communities, civic organizations, libraries, businesses and law enforcement and human service agencies.

The center also houses Interact's Pass It On, an upscale thrift store that sells new and used women's and children's clothing. Proceeds from sales at Pass It On help cover the costs to provide counseling services at the outreach center.

Community support is vital to the success of the outreach center. Volunteer opportunities are available to individuals who can commit at least one to four hours a week. Volunteer applications are available on Interact's web site or at the Fuquay-Varina or Raleigh offices.

Donations are accepted during regular business hours Tuesday - Friday from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Call the center at 919-557-8020 for more information.
