National Crime Victims’ Rights Week Ceremony 2018

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina and The Victim Services Interagency Council of North Carolina cordially invite you to attend the National Crime Victim’s Rights Week Ceremony 2018: Moving Forward, Never Forgetting, A Charleston Story.  Keynote speakers include: Ms. Felicia Sanders, Ms. Polly Sheppard and Reverend Eric Manning.

In honor of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, this year’s event will feature victims and survivors from the June 17, 2015 Charleston Church Massacre where nine African Americans were murdered during prayer service at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. The keynote speakers will share their personal experience of the tragedy and how it has impacted their lives.

 

This project is supported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and members of the Interagency Council; City of Durham Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, H.A.L.O.S., Justice for Citizens, NC Attorney General’s Office, NC Department of Public Safety, NC National Guard, NC Victim Assistance Network, and U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
