Community Engagement and Outreach
Raising Awareness and Breaking the Cycle of Violence
Domestic violence remains the leading cause of injury for women ages 15 to 44, and the impact of sexual harassment and assault is staggering—81% of women and 43% of men nationwide report experiencing some form of it in their lifetime. At InterAct, we are committed to addressing these alarming realities head-on through our outreach and education efforts.
Each year, we engage with over 53,000 community members, working to assist survivors, raise awareness, and drive meaningful change in our collective fight to end the cycle of violence. InterAct’s outreach services in Wake County are designed to provide vital information and education on domestic violence and sexual assault, empowering communities to recognize, respond to, and prevent these pervasive issues.
